Optics
Geisler and Davila (1985) describe the foveal linespread function reported by Campbell and Gubisch for white light and a 3mm pupil as the sum of two Gaussians.
The first Gaussian has a space constant of 2.04 minutes.
The second Gaussian has a space constant of .58 minutes.
They are added together with the first Gaussian multiplied by .417 and the second Gaussian multiplied by .5830. The weighted average space constant is 1.18882.
