This doubled response is "well modelled by assuming Naka-Rushton saturation of the cone inputs before summation." - Pokorny, et al ARVO 1995
Response amplitude was a linear function of contrast below 50% contrast with a degree of saturation above 50%. Responses were very sustained and the TMTF was low-pass. The MTF was constant as a function of retinal illuminance, but red-green nulls changed as a function of retinal illum and mean chromaiticity. Lee, et al ARVO 1995
